Candy & Candy makes debut appearance at Masterpiece London 2012 this week.
Building on its outstanding success in 2010 and 2011, Masterpiece London 2012 will showcase the best in fine and decorative arts with contemporary collectors’ items such as classic cars, fine wines, exquisite jewellery and contemporary design from around the world.
Candy & Candy has designed a bespoke Visitor Salon at this year’s Fair which celebrates the very best in British creativity, fine craftsmanship and intricate attention to detail.
The Salon by Candy & Candy showcases a unique collaboration of artisans and talent, and true to the brand’s trademark holistic design approach, this beautiful space pays homage to the post modernist age of design.
The team chose furniture and materials that cross decades of design, however the aesthetic has been placed firmly in the 1970’s where interior design generally took on a darker outlook.
The 1970’s were a unique time in design history, while still embracing the pop-art and graphical elements dominant in 1960’s design, the 70’s style is a hybrid of bold colours and patterns, rich textures and geometric influences.
The Salon blends contemporary practicality with timeless style to create the ideal place to relax at Masterpiece London. The Salon is also being hired out for private events and functions all week.
Partners involved in the creation of the Salon include Phillips de Pury, Talisman, Fromental, EESmith, Spina, Harlequin Tabletop, RJS Interiors, AJK Wood Flooring, PWC International, and DKT.
