Designed for the exhibition “The Clue” at the 2009 Gwangju Design Biennale, Iwamotoscott Architecture were invited to submit a “box of rest”, or ’restbox’ – one of 42 cubic pavilion designs. according to the exhibition brief, the cube was to be a 1/4 scale model of the 2m x 2m x 2m pavilion, which offers a space of relaxation that reinterprets a traditional Korean garden and poem given by the Curator.
