Home House
The instruction was to blend contemporary and period designs, complementing both the existing House bar by architect Zaha Hadid and the 18th-century splendour of the Grade I-listed building, by Robert Adam.
Under the guidance of Westminster Council and English Heritage, we created a scheme that was in keeping, even going as far as to create a colour and formulation of paint suited to the heritage.
Additions were designed to echo the original scheme, such as the gilding on the ceiling which inspired brass, bronze and marble in the first-floor bar, or the fireplace which we framed with bespoke petrol-blue leather. The palette of purple, brown and blue make reference to neoclassical architecture throughout.

Art Deco influences are prevalent throughout the design such as the mirrored panels which also served to accentuate the height of the ceilings and add an atmosphere of grandeur.
